Sinnlehen Alm |
| An easy route, wonderful for family hikes, taking about 30 minutes, leads you from the town centre in Leogang to the Sinnlehen Alm (mountain pasture). From this idyllic mountain pasture, you can enjoy the view of Leogang and the Leogang mountains. For a bit of refreshment, stop for an Almjause (snack) of locally baked breads and cheeses from our dairy. Children can play on the playground and pet the goats.

| The "Salachtaler Höhenweg" is one of the most beloved hiking trails. It leads from the Asitz Mountain Station to the Biberg in Saalfelden. On the way to Durchenkopf and Biberg, you will enjoy a breath-taking panoramic mountain view. By then you will have earned a break at the "Berggasthof Biberg." Enjoy refreshments and traditional specialities on the rustic sun terrace. The children can enjoy the petting zoo and playground. After your break, head towards the valley to the Huggenberg, and then take the chair lift or the curvey and wild summer toboggan run back to Saalfelden. Time: approx. 5 hours

Passau Huts | ||
| The hike to the Passau Huts is especially wonderful because of the beauty of the Pinzgau Mountains. However, good conditions, solid footing and balance are necessary. The route starts at the romantic Ullach Valley. Hairpin turns take you up the steep pasture landscape to the forest, over the ridge in a serpentine manner. At 1600m, the forest will start to thin out. The slope snakes up the Latschengürtel. At 1800m, you've reached the treeline and the rocky terrain begins. The path and stairs are carved into the rock and ropes are used for safety. From the peak of the Fehnenköpfl you will climb along the western slope and end at the well-known Passau Huts at 2056m. Passionate mountaineers can go further to the peak of the Hochzint (2251m) or Birnhorn (2634m).

Leo's "Living Art" Circuit | ||
| At the foot of the Asitz and the imposing Leogang mountain range this three kilometre long hiking circuit "Leo's Living Art" has been created by local artists. The path is lined by numerous unusual pieces of artwork, in which artists and sculptors deal with the themes of environment, nature and tradition. Nestling in the natural surroundings these pieces give the artist's vision evident significance and form. Every one of the sculptures has a story to tell, opens the mind and presents current themes, interesting for all generations! Information boards at the different stations explain more about the artist and his ideas. "Leos Living Art" stands for everything except standing still. It is a symbol for continuous innovation which is reflected in the permanent expansion of the route with new pieces. Simply enjoy this fascinating, living artwork. The circuit starts and ends at the valley stationg Asitz in Leogang (right next to our hotel). The walk takes about 1 hour! ![]() |
